Group,Thinking of heading to Brodhead for my first time this year. Hope to getmy first ride in a Piet. Question is......Can a Piet carry a 220joy-rider in the front or do I have to wait until I get mine built andsit in the back?BrianSLC, UT________________________________________________________________________________

Subject: RE: Pietenpol-List: 220lb - passengerHey Brian, No to be mean but you won't be offered many rides at Brodhead. Some Piets canhaul morethan others like Bill Rewey's Piet as he's got a longer wing than most...and hebuilt his light. Some of the Ford Piets are amazing like Ken Perkin's Piet which I've seen haulsome full-figuredgirls like you and I. Sadly I'm limited to carrying only petite passengers due to my weakening A-65 powerplant.(newrings are in order this spring on 2 cyls) Best wishes on getting a ride-- you'll have fun even if you don't but more funif you get to go. Brian,Depends how light they built it.My last rider was 210# ( and I'm 225#) no problems except limited sight on my part)He wasn't comfortable with his arms inside, so he hung them out like he was in a sidecar!Kind of blocked the fwd view. Thanks to that instructor that brought the sectional chart up in front of me just before flare, in a Charokee, to make me look out the side window.Pics of helping him in, and of yours truely propingwalt evansNX140DL----- Original Message -----
