Pietenpol-List: lift strut sizes

Over the past couple of years, there has been a few posts talking about using streamlinelift struts with a dimension of 1.78 x 1.06 x .049 from Wag Aero. Thereports were that Bill Rewey stated that this size was perfectly adequate fora Pietenpol. I was wondering if anyone has used struts in this size range orwould care to offer an opinion on the suitability for use. Dwane Talba'ssilver and black Corvair and Jim Kinsella's A65 Piets both use mild steelstruts and I think Dwane's Piet is over 800 lbs.I believe they are suitable for a Piet.Skip----- Original Message -----
