Mikee-We lived nearly 10 years in Medford, Oregon- which is nextdoor to Central Point, home of Erickson Aircrane and the Sikorski conversions in the video. They fly all over theworld doing firefighting, selective logging, rescue, heavylifting and placement, and other specialized tasks. Veryinteresting but remote connection to experimental aviationis that while I was still living in Oregon, Jack Ericksonalso located and restored a P-38 Lightning to complete andauthentic flying condition and I got to see one of the testflights. I believe the airplane is in the Tillamook Air Museum, http://www.warbirdregistry.org/p38regis ... lTillamook is about 60 miles from McMinnville, where the oneand only Hughes HK-1 "Spruce Goose" is now located. Since theSpruce Goose has wooden structural components, I have nowconnected this topic with the Pietenpol Air Camper and madethe post relevant ;o)Oscar ZunigaAir Camper NX41CCSan Antonio, TXmailto: taildrags(at)hotmail.comwebsite at http://www.flysquirrel.net________________________________________________________________________________Subject: Pietenpol-List: WPDate: Thu, 06 Aug 2009 17:37:24 -0400
