Dan, it might not hurt to pull the oil sump and give it a good cleaning.That would also let you remove and clean the oil pickup tube, to verifythere are no pieces of rag in it. Check with Poplar Grove and see if theyhave a replacement gasket or you will have oil leaks for sure.And I had suggested maybe trying a different oil pressure gage, nottemperature gage.
