I like the setup in this picture even better than the one Dan has, because theeyebrows fit closer to the tops of the cylinders and hold more of the coolingair inside the eyebrow and down through the fins. Dan's seem to stand clear ofthe cylinders a good 1/2" or more. Combine this with the wire-rolled leadingedges and it should be just about the ideal setup. Now all I have to do is take the airplane out of service while I build new eyebrowsfor it ;o) (although I guess I could do the "molded tape" exercise, or stiffcard stock, and not take the airplane out of service while I build new eyebrows?!)--------Oscar ZunigaSan Antonio, TXAir Camper NX41CCRead this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... ___Subject: Pietenpol-List: Corvair magneto

You are correct, Ben. If you have an engine driven electrical system youmust have a mode C transponder if flying under the 30 nm mode C veil.Otherwise not required, as long as you do not fly in class A,B, or Cairspace, and do not fly over 10,000' MSL.Jack PhillipsNX899JPRaleigh, NC _____

Since one does little night work, I have an electric wheel chair that is poweredby a 12 volt auto battery, a 2'X 3" X 12" Solar Panel. Is it's charger and Ihave never had to charge the battery any other way so far this summer.Pieti LowellRead this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... ______Date: Tue, 13 Jul 2010 02:39:10 +0000 (UTC)

We are in luck! According to the new BPA newsletter (pg. 5), Chapter 1279 is planningto display their completed (not-covered) Air Camper at Brodhead and Oshkosh.I think there was a partially completed Sky Scout there last year... it was veryinteresting to study. This project ought to be a valuable exhibit for all tostudy, especially those of us that are still trying to figure out this hugepuzzle.--------Mark ChouinardFinishing up Wings - Working on Center SectionRead this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... ______Date: Tue, 13 Jul 2010 02:39:10 +0000 (UTC)
