I see on craigslist that there is a 1929 flathead 4 model A engine with tranny for $125. Don't know if this is a desirable core or not. This is in the Minneapolis=2C Mn area.Tom B. ________________________________________________________________________________Subject: Pietenpol-List: Photos from Brodhead 2010

Okay Piet lovers, I have managed to edit, resize and upload to photobucket.comthe 400 photos that I took this past weekend. They have been sized to 800x600so that they load quickly for easier viewing. Hope that you all enjoy them!http://s238.photobucket.com/albums/ff29 ... -----Billy McCaskillUrbana, ILtailfeathers almost doneRead this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... __________

Anybody know of any Piets or builders in the northernCalifornia or southern Oregon area? I just noticed anote from Rex Ervin in Klamath Falls, Oregon in thelatest BPA newsletter inquiring about this. I'd alsolike to know if anyone knows Rex and can maybe put mein contact with him? Thanks.PS, had one of the smoothest flights ever inmy airplane the other morning. I rarely get to fly inthe early morning and it was superb. It really letsyou see where your airplane needs tweaking in trim...I think I need to add some more rudder trim to 41CCbut had never really noticed it since most of myflying is in the bumpy afternoons. Not a hands-offairplane but I'll bet it could be pretty close to itif I took some time to work on refining it. Gosh, that will mean a lot more flying to get it figured out.Hard work, but somebody has to do it ;o)Oscar ZunigaAir Camper NX41CCSan Antonio, TXmailto: taildrags(at)hotmail.comwebsite at http://www.flysquirrel.net ________________________________________________________________________________Subject: Re: Pietenpol-List: Piets in N. I'm still gathering info for my decision. One of the few concerns I have is accessto the front cockpit. I see that very few Piets seem to have built somekind of door, or at least a lower coaming for the front cockpit. Are there reasonsfor this of which I'm sorely ignorant? It seems that either a small door,or even just a lowered side on one side, would ease entry and exit. Does anyonehave a door? Does it help or not that much?Read this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... ___Subject: Pietenpol-List: Re: Photos from Brodhead 2010

OK my GN-1 or as most- a modified version has wood fuselage widened and lengthenedwith a front door, plywood was not extended all the way back-only behind therear seat, Cub gear, under camber wing-3 piece, Corvair engine no doubt manymore mods. I removed the nose tank and installed a center section tank in thewing and put the battery behind the rear seat to make the G come in.
