I'll start with Jack's Excel format, getmost of the data in there, and then we can all argue about format, etc.Eventually I'll create an HTML page to post on the internet (unless someoneobjects to this).Steve RuseNorman, OK _____

Corky,I think I have something that will work here. If you have a file that you pass around you will eventually run into a situation where 2 or more people open it and whoever saves it last is the only one who will show up. There is also the problem of how to keep it somewhere so that everybody can get at it. I just make a section on my website. If you go to the site on the home page on the upper left there is a Community Links section. The top link is to the Piet Directory. I started it off with myself. There is an online form that people can use to enter as much info as they feel comfortable doing. As entries are made the information is stored in a database that fills the directory page and sorts it by last name. I think this might be the easiest way to put the directory together and keep it alive. This will take you straight into the directory...http://www.flyingwood.com/directory.aspI'll help enter info if you're interested in using it. It wasn't difficult to make and I can change it if necessary.Glenn W. ThomasStorrs, CThttp://www.flyingwood.com ----- Original Message -----

Did I miss something about another list? I know at one time Doc had aprinted list. John Hoffman had a great list with pictures until the HACKERShit it. If we need one I would be willing to post some sort of form inExcel or Word format on my site, which could be downloaded, filled in thenemailed back to me. Again, if I can figure it out I could post the updatedlisting on my site. Or maybe we would want to keep it less public and Icould email it to anyone that requested it. Well though there are exceptions for installing one right away- the check listI have from the only DAR I know of close enough to do the inspection states ELTinstalled with operational check in accordance with FAR 91.207(d) if more thanone place airplane.I realize I could argue the point but for 150 bucks I'llgo along and try to keep it simple.basically I still would like to find out ifit is acceptable to have the antenna inside the tail out of sight. I guess onceit comes in if there isn't specific instructions concerning it I'll startcalling someone.Read this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... ______Date: Tue, 31 Aug 2010 21:40:39 -0500Subject: Re: Pietenpol-List: Pietenpol Directory

Jack,You may have trouble with any Microsoft Ofifce file. The other list I belong to(local beekeepers) is run by a member who has an IT business & runs it on hisCo. server. His list program strips out or permanently alters all Microsoftfiles to prevent the spread of document-embedded viruses.Kip Gardner> Thanks,> Jack> > -----Original Message-----
