Does anyone have the distance between the Model A crankshaft centerline and thetop of the engine bearer? (see attached sketch) I believe this is basically thethickness of the oil pan flange and the leather padding used between it andthe engine bearer. Is this correct? Thanks Craig--------A goal without a plan is nothing more than a wish. -- orionRead this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... ttachments: http://forums.matronics.com//files/cran ... ___Subject: Pietenpol-List: Wanted - BPA News Back Issues

I will be using latex (white undercoat) and 3m Fastbond (instead of Eco-bond) Iam 90% sure that the Fastbond is the same thing but less expensive. I have afriend that is covering with the complete Stewart system and we are going todo some experimenting and comparison.BTW If anyone is interested in spraying latex, I purchased a turbine HVLP sprayerfrom Harbor Freight for $70. When it came I thought it was just a toy. Soundslike a shop vac. I am quite impressed, however with the results. I paintedmy house with it this fall and it worked great on large flat areas. I amnot an expert painter, but I found it had good control and used about 30 to 40%less paint. I may try it on the final coats on the Piet.--------Jon Coxwell GN-1 BuilderRecycle and preserve the planetRead this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... ______Date: Thu, 25 Nov 2010 00:16:01 -0800

Hi Malcolm,The Piet looks great in Behr paint, and good information on how you applied it. I've only used it for its 'official' usage, but it's tough stuff, should last well. If the lady on the left side side of the picture is your boss, then we both have beautiful red headed Beths for spouses. Can't say much about the three rouges in the background though - arggh!KIp GardnerOn Nov 24, 2010, at 11:17 PM, gliderx5(at)comcast.net wrote:> I just finished painting my fuselage using Behr latex paint.
