Pipe tape is a big "no-no" in an aircraft fuel system. The reason is thatcarbs have been clogged by scraps of the stuff that was left dangling duringinstallation. It is VERY common to find little bits in the gascolator oninstallations that use pipe tape, even when great care was taken. It hastherefore become standard practice NOT to use it. I used a Vaseline-likegrease that I purchased at Aircraft Spruce.Douwe________________________________________________________________________________
