Piet Group (or as I like to call us all.....Infidels!)I'd like to take a minute to apologize to the list for losing my cool recently in a few of my responses that should have been handled off-list. My sincere apologiesas this list has traditionally been an incredibly friendly place to exchange, help, and promote the building, flying, and enjoyment of these incredibly wonderful littlePietenpol Air Camper airplanes. I am committed to contributing to this list and being as helpful as I can in a positive and uplifting fashion to all who are building, interested in building, or already flying and enjoying all the hard work and fruits of your labor. We don't have room for profanity or divisiveness. We've got enoughof that coming thru our tv sets and movies and on the news in America. I've made some lifelong and treasured friendships on this list that far exceed the importanceand value of my airplane and have come to believe the wise words of EAA founder Paul Poberezny---- it's not as much about the airplanes as it is the people. And now the movie, folks. Last night I installed a new smoke system bottle (they tend to loose pressure when you pump them up after exposed to the mineral oil aftera season) and though I would share what the smoke looks like from the cockpit. Great fun. I hope you all enjoy.Mike C.Ohiohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnMpUIwhY70&lis ... __________

The new downturned exhaust was specifically engineered to increase climb atfull throttle. It also might keep exhaust crap off my fuselage.Douwe________________________________________________________________________________Subject: Re: Pietenpol-List: Douwe's JATO mod

Here are the handy little Lowe's or Home Depot garden department poly spray bottles that I use to pressurize my smoke oil (basically mineral oil) to injectinto the right rear exhaust pipe of my A-65 engine. Every year I need to replace the bottle because the old bottles begin to leak as soon as you pump themup from exposure to the oil after a while.Last night I installed the new poly bottle and was bummed because it held less fluid......or so I thought.Which one do you think holds more fluid? I was surprised to read that the container on the right holds 56 oz. and the old bottle on the left holds 51 oz.I still don't believe it and am going to do a little test next time I empty out the new smoke oil bottle! (which won't take long if this gorgeous weather keeps up.)Mike C.[cid:image001.jpg(at)01CFABE7.388466F0]________________________________________________________________________________Date: Wed, 30 Jul 2014 10:30:15 -0500Subject: Re: Pietenpol-List: Douwe's JATO mod
