Please allow me to interject.I want to go on record as saying that I personally would find a definitivestress analysis of the Pietenpol wing fascinating and informative. What'sthe big deal if some guys want to run some numbers?? If the topic doesn'tinterest you, most keyboards have a "delete" button. End of problem.Oscar has been flying "Scout" for over a decade and knows it is safe. He isnot questioning the airworthiness of an "80-year-old" design, his curiosityhas simply been peeked by some questions which he'd like to be able toanswer authoritatively. This thread is directly Pietenpol related and very interesting. I don'tseem to remember Jack P catching any flack a few years back when he didsomething similar. Does it not seem highly inappropriate that Oscar feels he needs to go "offlist" to provide a Pietenpol wing analysis on a Pietenpol discussionforum???What gives everybody??$.02DouwePs. Oscar, would you please include me in your "off list" group? I amfascinated to hear what you come up with.________________________________________________________________________________

I am reminded of the Zenith list, several years ago. When the 601XL had somewing problems, the list became very divided. A splinter group broke off, convinced that they needed to do the engineering for Zenith, and feelingsgot hurt. My suggestion is to keep the strut analysis issue on the Pietlist. It'll run its course.and eventually the questions will be answered.Gary BootheNX308MB

There are a couple of great things about Gene's posts. He makes me laugh, and I find myself actually reading all the thread posts so I don't miss out on the fun!=0A=0A=0ADan Helsper=0ALoensloe Airfield=0APuryear, TN=0A=0A=0A=0A-----Original Message---
