Cool...!!! I've been pinging EAA with feedback to return a greater focus on HOMEBUILTS. I'm just one voice in the wind but apparently I am not the only one who feels thisway as they have had LOTS of similar requests.Lately SPORT AVIATION feels like reading FLYING magazine (not surprising as EAAhired their editor) and if I wanted to read FLYING magazine I would buy FLYINGmagazine. I want to read about HOMEBUILTS...!IMHO--------Jake Schultz - curator,Newport Way Air Museum (OK, it's just my home)Read this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... ___Subject: Pietenpol-List: Federal Aviation Skis for sale

A friend in my EAA chapter, who recently moved to TX from IL, has a MINT set ofFederal Aviation Skis from the early to mid 1940's.These are the correct skis for J-3's, along with many other 2 seat aircraft fromthe period. Model # for the skis is 1500.Skis of this period had no wheels, therefore, one needs to have snow in order totake off / land...When I get a chance, we'll take pictures and post them here, unless someone jumpson them right away.--------Tom KreinerRead this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... ______Date: Wed, 3 Dec 2014 16:16:30 -0500Subject: Re: Pietenpol-List: Federal Aviation Skis for sale

Glad you have been pinging EAA Jake about their publication becoming more and more like Flying.I went round and round with J. Mac McClellan via e-mail a few months ago after one of his articles in Sport Aviationmade the ridiculous claim that basic VFR navigation using a sectional and a track were pretty much a waste anymore. We spit nickels back and forth for a while so perhaps EAA is hearing that we don't believe the publication should bewhat it was starting to become.Mike C.________________________________________________________________________________Subject: Pietenpol-List: Re: Flying and Sport Aviation
