Gentlemen, I would like to introduce myself at this time with a couple linesof who I am. I'm a piet lover for sure, I have no aviation background (I dohave 20 hrs in a 172), 46 years old, married with 3 grown children, 3grandbabies. My brother has introduced me to this list as he and I both havestarted to build our own piets (aircampers). I've built a home and a barn(barn 24x40 2-story), so I have some building experience, per say. I watchedyou guys for the last month and this list has given me more confidence thananything except for maybe Roy Ferguson's scout he has almost finished. Withhis permission I will put some photos on my web page. It is simply the mostbeautiful craftsmanship I've ever seen, save none. I just want to thank youguys for all the help and ideas you post as well as your thoughts too. I seea huge mountain ahead, but you guys are very encouraging.I feel like I know Corky, Doug, Kip and all the rest... That's why I feltlead to say this so you guys will know that someone else is listening andlearning. So very excited that I can hardly stand myself...Terry Morgan,Thomaston, Georgiamrfixit(at)accessunited.com________________________________________________________________________________

Terry, Welcome to the Piet list! I like to think of the building process the same way you'd eat an elephant - one little bite at a time! Just break it down into little jobs, and then take great pride in each little job finished. You'll be looking at your Piet sooner than you think! By the way, I've never built anything as ambitious as a barn!! If you can do that then the Piet will be a breeze! Have fun and post those questions!Best of luck!Gary MeadowsSpring, TX________________________________________________________________________________Date: Thu, 10 May 2001 21:52:36 -0700 (PDT)

05/11/2001 09:59:08 AMTerry,Welcome to the list! I've only been on for about 3 months myself & alreadyit has increased my confidence in my ability to see my project through tocompletion. As you know, there is an archive to look up old posts, but ihave found it easier to paste the ones that interest me into Word files &savetham that way.Anyway, I hope you'll have fun with your project; I also feel like I'mgetting to know the others on it. Of course, Mike Cuy & I will be realneighborssoon, so that should be real interesting for me - can'yt wait to see hisPiet 'in person!'Regards,Kip Gardner________________________________________________________________________________
