Subject: Pietenpol-List: DimensionsHey Gang.... Did BHP ever print a dimension for the ash crossmember forthe corvair motor mount?? I'm assuming that since it dosen't have ashelf to reinforce it that it's a little beefier than the "A"crossmember. I found some nice ash and laminated two pieces of 1'' thickby 2 1/2" wide it's definetly strong enough but weighs 2 3/4 pounds!!! Ican of course trim it down if need be. I would like to put it on a dietbut would still like it a little extra strong. Also the F&G manual saysthe Corvair mount is " ALMOST" identical to the mount needed for aFranklin a/c engine. Does anyone have any first hand experience withthis set up??? The mount comes next. Thanks in advance. Ed G.in Palm Harbor Fl. where it's finally starting to cool off enough towork in my shop. We got run over by tropical storm Gabrielyesterday.Great week!!!!________________________________________________________________________________Date: Sat, 15 Sep 2001 20:23:43 -0500
