What alloy are you using? I used 4130 and Pressed it flat with a vice. Ididn't heat it for fear of hardening it to the point of being unable todrill it for the fittings. 'Nuther question...I have flattened one end of myrudder bar and I'm in doubt as to how to guarantee that when the other endis flattened, it will wind up in the same plane as the first.
