Subject: Pietenpol-List: Oil pressure gaugeHey, Gene-I replaced the oil pressure gauge on 41CC and had the oil sump off the engine as well as all the oil pressure hoses and tubing. When I built the system back up again and replaced the gauge, I worried about the air thing too, but just started the engine up after refilling the sump and everything worked OK the instant the engine fired up. I suppose that air trapped in the Bourdon tube in the gauge, or in the lines, may cause some sort of pulsations- but I haven't seen any. Pressure is pressure, air or oil in the line, and I don't think it makes any difference. However, if you want to try bleeding the air out of your line- good luck. I foresee oil in your future ;o)Oscar ZunigaSan Antonio, TXmailto: taildrags(at)hotmail.comwebsite at http://www.flysquirrel.net________________________________________________________________________________
