Hey Wayne! I agree with you... I wanted to build and fly a WW1 fighter type.... so, Idecided to build a Pietenpol first! knew I had to learn tail wheel, so Ibought a Cessna 140 to learn to fly in! (and learn tail wheel at the sametime!) I have a pilot friend that flys with me(Fed-Ex pilot & 20+ yearstail wheel exp.
