All I needed to do was lay the edge flush on a piece of steel,put a pencil mark 10 to one from the edge (1/8 x 10 or 1.1/4) ,and hit it with a hand held belt sander. It takes very little skill to make a nice scarf out to the pencil mark. A worn out fine belt keeps things from going tofast.
