Hello Everyone !I am so glad I have discovered this fantastic forum ! Lots to learn and even moreinsperation !My project is progressing well, I still need to finish the cowl, control cableinstallation, redo intrument panel and then cover. The powerplant is a Ford 2Lcrossflow motor with a reduction drive, Yes, I know not an "A" but there areno A's to be found down here ! It has the longer metal fuselage. The registration is ZU-BDZ and will share a hanger once complete with my other"toys", ZU-AVB a Streak Shadow (Jabiru powered) and ZU-AMV a KR2S (VW powered).I will be creating a web-page for my baby soon, need to take some photos first.Have a great day and safe flying,RudiRead this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... __________

Naturally, you should practice on some scrap. Use at least a 12:1 scarf joint on the longeron- the method is called out in the AC 43.13.Chuck G.NX770CG________________________________________________________________________________

[quote="billweir(at)lon.imag.net"]Hi Rudy, Which engine are you using? I know what is in s. Africa would not be here inCanada and vice versa. Is it the engine that started at 900 something and thengrew and went crossflow? Are you using a reduction system? The callout formy own project is the current all aluminum twin cam 2L. Bill Weir > Hi Bill,I am not sure about the history of the engine, I do know there used to be a 1600ccas well. It is a basic 4 cylinder inline engine. It could well be that itwas developed from a much smaller engine over the years.Yes, I am using a reduction drive, it is a 2.5:1 belt reduction.Happy building,Regards,Rudi--------ZU-AMV ZU-AVB ZU-BDZ ZS6DX/V51VERead this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... ___Subject: Pietenpol-List: Re: Hello from sunny South Africa
